Bronze
Bronze has many great qualities – it’s strong, durable and weathers beautifully, developing a natural patina over time.
Another great beauty of bronze is that it requires no maintenance, making it an ideal outdoor choice for New Zealand’s harsh environment.
Our bronze pieces are individually made using the lost-wax casting method where bronze is poured into a specially made mould created by means of a wax model. This labourious process is extremely accurate in rendering fine detail.
Cast Stone
Our cast stone pieces are designed and made in the United States. As many as 30 pairs of hands are involved in the creation of each piece in a labour intensive 15 step process. Every item becomes a unique and original work of garden art as a result.
Our cast stone pieces are manufactured with a high density cast stone mix, with a PSI (pounds per square inch) strength of approximately 7,500, which makes them highly durable for the outdoors.
These fountains and planters will age naturally over time as they are exposed to the elements. The hand applied patinas are intended to create the illusion that the cast stone has already begun its natural aging process.
Cast Iron
Our cast iron pieces are highly durable and will rust over time, which is part of the inherent beauty of iron containers.
Genuine cast iron garden pieces are increasingly difficult to find in today’s market. This is due to a shortage in cast iron scrap material, which is currently in high demand for other uses in manufacturing worldwide.
Berdestone
Berdestone is a mix of fibreglass with natural stone or metal.
This material combination makes Berdestone pieces strong and resistant to weather. It is also a convincing lightweight alternative to heavy stone garden ware.
Berdestone garden ornaments also develop a natural patina over time.
